It's all over...

Fall soccer that is.  It was the kids first season and they both did so great!  Juliana was in a division with 3rd - 6th grade girls and unfortunately the teams were not always well balanced, but she went from a kid that didn't know anything about soccer to a kid that wasn't afraid to go against the "big" girls.

She even played goalie:

Tyler did really well for his first season as well.  He may be one of the smaller kids, but he's not afraid to be aggressive.  He had a signature move on defense of kicking the ball really far as he did a slide on the ground, it worked every time.  He played in a division with 1st and 2nd graders.

Halloween, Halloween.... Trick or Treat!

Yesterday was Halloween and boy are we all exhausted.  The festivities began on Friday afternoon at school.  Both kids got to dress up in their costumes and be part of the school parade (it's the last year for Juliana).  Then they both then had classroom parties at the same time, so I was running between classes trying not to miss a minute of either one.  We then played on the playground with some friends and then Juliana went to soccer practice.  As soon as she got back it was back into the costumes and we headed off to the school harvest party.  There were activities, music, dancing, contests, and goodies.  We went to bed late and then got up on Halloween morning and headed to Tyler's 9:30 soccer game and then to Juliana's 12:30 game.  After a little rest at home it was time to put the costumes back on and headed to our friends neighborhood to do trick or treating with a group of friends.   When it began to sprinkle on us we walked back to our friends house and had some snacks and hot chocolate.  It was soon getting late so we left and did trick or treating in our own neighborhood.  When all was said and done the kids went through their candy bags, made some trades with each other, and were tucked into their beds with visions of sugar and chocolate dancing in their heads.
Juliana was  a professional soccer player and Tyler was the color blue:

Party #3, time for the family.

We had the kids combined family party last weekend and overall it was a success.  Their Grandparents came for the weekend from Florida, great grandparents from Massachusetts and other various family members from RI, CT, and Massachusetts.  Unfortunately Tyler was came home sick from school the day before (on his birthday) and wasn't feeling great for the party.  We also had some cancellations due to the sickness and fear of sickness.  The food was good, the company was good, and of course the kids were super excited to get more presents!
The kids made a band:
